TATTOO TOUCH-UP POLICY

At Snow Tattoo, we take pride in the quality and longevity of every tattoo. While most tattoos heal perfectly, we offer one complimentary touch-up for minor issues, such as small light spots or slight inconsistencies, on healthy skin. Touch-ups must be scheduled after 4–8 weeks of your original session and require proper aftercare.

Please note that adding new design elements or modifying your tattoo is considered a new session and is not included in the complimentary touch-up. Tattoos on high-fade areas, such as hands, feet, fingers, and face, or over scarred or compromised skin, are excluded and require a paid session.

All touch-ups must be scheduled in advance. Our goal is to ensure every tattoo heals beautifully and meets your expectations.

Snow Tattoo Touch-Ups

Snow Tattoo provides one complimentary touch-up for tattoos placed on normal, healthy skin. Touch-ups must be completed after 4–8 weeks of the original session and are only valid when proper aftercare has been followed. Complimentary touch-ups are intended to address minor inconsistencies such as light areas or small sections.

Here are some examples of tattoos that qualify for 4-6 week tattoo touch ups, if needed:

Disclaimer: None of the tattoos shown above required any touch-ups. These images are simply examples of the types of tattoos that could qualify for a 4–8 week touch-up if needed.

Design Add-On | Tattoo Enhancement

Adding new elements or making changes to the original design is not considered a touch-up. Any additions or modifications require a new tattoo session, as this involves an additional design process.

Here is an example of a tattoo with new added elements:

Custom Signature Floral Tattoo by Sarah Gaugler for BJ Pascual at Snow Tattoo in Tribeca New York

The photo below shows the tattoo before the floral extension was added. Our client wanted to preview what the smaller design would look like first, then added the floral extension one year after the original piece had fully healed.

Requests involving the addition of new elements, modifications to the original artwork, or expansion of the design do not fall under the definition of a “touch-up”. These services act as a new tattoo appointment, including the design, and will be billed at the standard rate.

Tattoos Placements that are Not Guaranteed

Tattoos placed on areas that are not guaranteed, including the face, neck, hands, fingers, palms, and feet, are prone to fading due to frequent skin shedding. These areas may require multiple touch-ups. Touch-ups for these placements are not included in the complimentary touch-up policy and will be billed as separate sessions.

Here are examples of tattoos on areas that are not guaranteed:

Tattoos on Scars | Burns | Compromised Skin

Tattoos performed over scars, burns, or compromised skin heal unpredictably. Due to the additional challenges of scar tissue, touch-ups for scar cover-ups are not included in the complimentary touch-up policy and will be charged as separate sessions.

Here are some examples of tattoos on scars, burns, or compromised skin:

All touch-ups must be scheduled in advance. Walk-ins cannot be accommodated.
